Oils
We stock Daler & Rowney Georgian Oils in 38ml and 225ml tubes in our retail shop.
Also stocked are Winsor & Newton’s Artists’ Oil Colour, these being the highest professional quality of oil paint made from the finest pigments.
As an alternative, we hold Winton Oil Colour which is a high quality yet economical oil colour for artists. Available in both 37ml and 200ml tubes and a wide range of colours.
We have in stock Artisan which is a Water Mixable Oil Colour. This is a genuine oil colour which avoids using solvents to clean up. Instead you use water. Supplied in 37ml and 200ml tubes and a range of colours.
Winsor & Newton Griffin ALKYD is a fast drying oil paint which is touch dry in 24 hours. Supplied in 37ml and 200ml tubes and available in a range of colours.
Sennelier Rive Gauche a fast-drying fine oil paint for all artists, professional or student, at a cost-effective price. The range consists of 60 colours in 40ml and 200ml tubes.
We hold Sennelier Oil Sticks which offer traditional oil in a convenient stick form, and can be applied directly or with a brush/palette knife. This provides a versatile way of painting and drawing and again is available in a range of colours.

Acrylics
We offer System 3 acrylic, an excellent quality yet economical acrylic paint popular with students and beginners and ideal for use in classes. Available in a wide range of colours either in 59ml and 150ml tubes or 500ml pots.

Another popular student grade paint is the Winsor & Newton Galeria acrylic. Economical and versatile with high pigment strength for professional results. We offer a full range of colours in 60ml tubes.
We stock Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylics which provide high quality colour brilliance that stays looking bright when wet or dry. Perfect for the professional artist. A wide range of colours available in 60ml and 200ml tubes.
We stock a variety of acrylic paint sets to help beginners get started quickly and easily.
We also stock Crafters Acrylics and Dazzling Metallics, these being a fast drying waterbased acrylic provided in 59ml bottles. Available in a wide range of colours for use in general arts and crafts. Adheres to most surfaces including wood, paper, canvas, ceramic, furniture, plastic etc.
Watercolours
We stock Daler & Rowney Aquafine Watercolours. 37 colours provided in 8ml tubes. An economical and popular paint for students and beginners.
There is also Winsor & Newtons’ Cotman in 8ml and 21ml tubes and half pans - another economical and popular choice for watercolour. Available in a selection of colours, with a range of Cotman sets in plastic boxes to get started.
For professional artists there is Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolours. This range offers the finest watercolour paints, the widest choice of pigments and highest possible permanence. Available in half and whole pans and 5ml, 14ml and 37ml tubes.
Designers Gouache Opaque Watercolours are noted for their colour brilliance and matt finish. We can supply 90 colours available in 15ml tubes.
Spray Paints
We sell Montana Gold Acrylic Professional Spray Paint, an eco-friendly product suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Quick drying, high accuracy and low-pressure makes these paints suitable for most surfaces including wood, concrete, metal, glass, plastic, canvas etc. In a wide range of classic, shock, process, fluorescent and transparent colours. There is also a clear protective varnish spray with built in UV resistance for durability in matt or gloss finish.
The Montana Effect Sprays are also in stock. These include Crackle, Granit, Marble and Glitter effect, creating stunning realistic, distressed and vintage looks and faux finishes.
All cans come with standard caps but fat and skinny caps are available.
Also Montana Acrylic Paint Markers to match the spray paints in 0.7mm and 2mm tips.

We stock a wide range of brushes suitable for a broad spectrum of users, from beginners through to professionals.
Although any brush can be used for any purpose, certain brushes are better suited to particular mediums.
For example, sable brushes are well suited to watercolours. Hog brushes are traditionally used with oils. And synthetic brushes work very well with acrylics.
We offer brush sets for these purposes, with a selection of shapes and sizes to help get you started.
Daler & Rowney Graduate Range
This range of brushes offers an incredibly cost-effective option for watercolour, oil and acrylic painting.
Brushes are available with synthetic, natural bristle, pony and black & white goat.
Graduate brushes are available in a range of sizes and the following shapes: round, flat, rigger, wash, filbert, angled, fan, mop and one-stroke.
These brushes are ideal for students and beginners.
Pro Arte Brushes
Pro Arte is a name synonymous with brushes. They produce high quality brushes, with a range of natural, synthetic and mixed brushes. These brushes are designed for professional artists demanding range and quality.
We stock the following Pro Arte brushes:
Prolene. A synthetic brush designed to replicate sable, but at a lower price and offering a longer life. Identified by its distinctive black handle and white tip.
Prolene Plus. A more refined brush, with laquered wood handles and gold ferrules.
Connoisseur. A mixed sable and synthetic blend provides a long lasting, high quality brush. Identified by its black handle and magenta and white tips.
Acrylix. With the rise in popularity of acrylic paints, a synthetic oil hog replacement was developed using a material called Taklon. Identified with its short rosewood handle, these brushes have earned a loyal following amongst acrylic artists.
Polar. A synthetic, white nylon brush suitable for all purposes. Identified by its white handle and filament.
Hog. Available as 'B Hog' suitable for professionals, and 'C Hog' which are better suited to students and beginners. These brushes are made with Chinese Bristle and are best suited for use with oils, especially blending. B Hog brushes are identified by their cream handle, whereas the C Hog brushes have a blue handle.
Pro Arte Twistgrips
A budget range of general purpose brushes made of synthetic hair suitable for most media applications.

Pro Arte Minature Range

View Our Artist Brushes OnlineThere is a vast selection of mediums for all types of paint. These are additives which alter or enhance the colour of the paints, change the rate of drying time, increase gloss, improve flow or provide more texture.
There are also different types of varnishes for the final coatings of any piece of art which protects the finished work from airborne pollutants, dirt and grease and gives a UV protection to protect from fading or yellowing.
Mediums
We stock the following Winsor & Newton oil mediums: linseed oil, poppy oil, safflower oil and liquin mediums.
We stock the following Winsor & Newton professional acrylic mediums: glazing, gloss, matt, flow improver, slow-drying and extender.
We also stock Galeria matt and gloss mediums as well as their range of structure gels, texture gels, modelling pastes and iridescent mediums.
Mediums for watercolours and gouache that we stock are Winsor & Newton’s Aquapasto, gum arabic, granulation, blending, texture and iridescent mediums. There is also lifting preparation and art masking fluid used with watercolours.
We also offer a more economical Blue Masking Fluid.
Gesso
Gesso is a Primer usually made of a white paint mixture consisting of a binding agent with chalk, gypsum, and pigment. It is used in artwork to prepare a surface, i.e. wood, canvas, sculpture etc before painting. As well as White it can also come in Black or Clear.
We stock all three colours ranging from a student grade by Daler & Rowney to an artists’ grade by Winsor & Newton.
Varnishes
Our range of varnishes for Oils, Acrylics and Watercolours are mainly Winsor & Newtons. They come either in a spray or are applied by brush from a bottle. Available in Gloss, Matt or Satin. We also stock Re-Touching Varnish and Varnish Remover.
Gilding
We sell a selection of gilding products that can be used for a variety of art and craft tasks including picture frames, furniture mouldings, restoration work, model making and paintings. Also suitable for decorating plaster, clay, textiles, paper or wood.
We stock Metal Leaf in transfer form in books of 25 sheets. The transfer leaves are pressed onto tissue paper ready to transfer onto any art or craft work. Imitation leaf comes 140 x 140mm in gold, silver and copper. Real gold and silver leaf comes 80 x 80mm.
Gold Size is available in 1-2 hour, 3 hour and 12 hour drying times. Usually applied with a sable or ox-hair brush. Gold Size should be tacky before laying the gold.
Liquid Leaf is a ready to use metallic paint. It is rapid drying and comes in a 35ml bottle and gives about 2 sq metres of coverage. Available in Classic and Renaissance Gold, Copper and Silver.
Solvents/Thinners
We stock a premium low odour white spirit for brush cleaning, paint thinning and general purpose use, available in 750ml and 2 litre bottles.
Genuine Turpentine is a high quality turpentine for art, craft and DIY projects.
Zest-It is an oil paint dilutant and brush cleaner which is an alternative to white spirit and turpentine with a pleasant citrus orange smell.
Fixatives
Fixatives are used to protect pastel and charcoal work. Applied by spraying lightly to finished artwork to stop smudging and discoloration.
You'll find a large selection of canvas in-store - framed canvas, canvas boards, canvas pads and loose canvas.
We stock Primed Canvas Boards in A4, A3, A2 and A1 sizes.
We also have a large selection of Winsor & Newton Primed Canvases’. These are high quality frames offering long-term strength and support for your work.
Artist Canvas, 100% Linen Canvas and Winsor Deep Edge Canvas are all available in square and rectangular formats in a wide range of sizes.
We also sell rolls of primed and unprimed Cotton Canvas in metres in a variety of weights and heights.
We hold a wide range of fine quality wooden easels from Daler & Rowney and Winsor & Newton.
With choices from tabletop to studio we will have something to suit your requirements. We also stock portable field easels, including easels with integrated storage and other accessories.

We stock a wide range of papers, cards and pads for various craft and art work in a variety of textures, weights and sizes.
Papers
We stock A1 and A2+ papers in a range of weights and colours from 140gsm to 638gsm, NOT and Hot Pressed, and sold in single sheets. Daler & Rowney’s Canford Papers, Fabriano Tiziano pastel papers, Fabriano Rosapina and Artistico, Cotman, Bockingford, Arches Aquarelle 100% cotton, Langton and Langton Prestige, Saunders Waterford, acrylic & oil papers, sugar paper and cartridge paper.
We stock rolls of Fabriano 1.5m x 10m in both 120gsm and 200gsm weights.
We also stock sheets of acetate, polyproplene, Mylar stencil sheets.
We have tracing paper in A1 sheets and 55cm x 20m rolls.

Card
We hold a variety of A1, A2, A3 and A4 card in a range of colours and in various weights, available either by the sheet or in packs for all your hobby, art and craft requirements.
Pads
We stock a huge range of pads for use with various media, including graphite, pastels and painting with watercolours, acrylics and oils. These are available in various weights and in a range of sizes from A6 (Postcard) size to A2 size.
Also available in-store are cartridge pads, layout pads, marker pads, Bristol Board, sugar paper, Sennelier Oil and Pastel pads, Daler & Rowney Canford pads, Langton NOT cold pressed and HP Hot Pressed pads, Bockingford, acrylic, Georgian Oil, newsprint and tracing pads.
Various types of board are used for many forms of art work, including displaying and framing.
Mountboard
We stock Daler & Rowney Mountboard Cream Core in A1 size. This is available in a wide range of colours.
We also stock A0, A2, A3 and A4 sizes in black and white.

Greyboard
An economical option for a variety of uses is Greyboard, held in stock in two sizes, A1 and A2, and available in two thicknesses.
We stock a wide range of pencils, charcoals and pastels used for sketching and drawing from Daler & Rowney, Conte a Paris, Derwent, Reeves, Faber Castell, Sennelier, Inscribe and Toison D’Or Koh-i-Noor.
Pastels
We stock a variety of makes of Oil Pastels in sets of 12 or 24. Also black and white sold individually.
Soft Chalk Pastels sold in sets of 12 and 24 in a variety of makes to suit your budget. We sell the full range of Daler Rowney Soft Pastel colours individually. This dry medium is perfect for blending and softening.
Using a Fixative is recommended after to hold finished works.
Charcoal
We stock Compressed Charcoal in sets of black, white, grey tones and sanguine & sepia. Black and white are sold individually as well. We stock English Willow Charcoal in boxes containing a selection of sizes - thin, medium, thick and extra thick.
Also available are Light, Medium or Dark Charcoal Pencils.
Graphite
We stock Woodless Graphite, Chubby Hexagonal Sticks and Graphitone Pencils in a variety of grades.
Also stocked, soluble aquarelle sticks and pencils for use with pen and wash technique.
Pencils

Erasers & Sharpeners
You'll find a selection of erasers including battery powered erasers, putty rubbers and traditional erasers in the store.
We also hold a selection of sharpeners suitable for pencils and pastels, including battery powered, desk mounted, canister and traditional.
Adhesives
We stock 3M Mount Spray, Display Mount, Re-Mount and Photo-Mount in spray cans.
For those on a budget, Re-Tac and High-Tac Mount Spray aerosol cans offer a more economical option to the 3M products.
Ultratape Spray Adhesive is an exceedingly strong adhesive in an aerosol for easy application for bonding materials such as fabric, wood, concrete, metal, plastics, rubber and polythene.
PVA General Purpose Adhesive is a versatile artists medium and wood adhesive. Supplied in 5ltr, 1ltr, 500ml and 100ml bottles.
We also sell plastic glue spreaders - perfect for getting an even spread of adhesive!
In tubes we offer a selection of adhesives: silicone glue, super glue and UHU, an all-purpose adhesive.
In stick form we have economy glue sticks and Pritt stick.
We also sell Studio Gum and Elmers Rubber Cement, Powdered Hide and Rabbit Skin Glue.
Sculpting
We stock a range of modelling clay used for a variety of arts and crafts.
Das clay is soft and pliable, comes in white or terracotta colour and air dries hard so no need for firing.
Pebeo oven-bake clay - a fine natural clay, suitable for kiln firing. Sold in 5kg blocks.
Plaster of Paris for fine casting and model making.
Stone Plaster, which is a specialist moulding plaster, gives a hard finish but with a slower setting time.
Modroc which is a high quality plaster of pregnated bandages used for making masks and moulds. Soak in warm water and wrap around to make a cast.
Milliput which is a cold setting two part epoxy putty used for porcelain restoration, modelling and sculpting crafts and models. Comes in black, white, terracotta, yellow grey and silver.
Moulding Latex a liquid rubber emulsion which air dries to form a thin peelable mould. Use with a latex thickener to reduce running.
Clear Casting Resin.
